The Maine Morgan Horse Club would like to highlight the use of the Morgan Horse and its impact on the state of Maine. We would particularly like this to be a presentation that would be appropriate for school aged children and adults alike. We would like to bring a few horses for and upclose and personal presentation as well as a versatility presentation.
Small mesh hay nets and other restrictive feeders have many benefits. Not only do they mean less hay tramped into the mud; they also reduce boredom and related vices, and may help ease a number of health problems by making the horse nibble, which is the natural way for him to eat. Talk will cover types of restrictive feeders, what health conditions may benefit and why, safety concerns, etc.
