Enhancement of bees for crop pollination
The presentation will cover the basics of crop pollination by bees for some of maine's most important fruit and vegetable crops. The major families of bees will be discussed along with their nesting requirements and life histories. Methods for bee enhancement by planting bee pasture (RELEVANT to Maine) as well as providing nest blocks for leafcutting bees will also be discussed.
