Chewonki Sustainability Officer Tom Twist is passionate about renewable energy and reducing negative impact on the earth's natural systems. In a fun and informative talk, he will introduce audiences to Chewonki's Zero Waste project, developed as a way to move all of Maine -- and particularly students -- toward a Zero Waste world. Tom will walk the audience through the 6 keys steps you can take to achieve Zero Waste. He will introduce the Zero Waste Challenge for Middle Schools, which invites students to enter a contest to develop a waste reduction plan for their schools.
